      Thanks so much Eric!

Have you found a good charging solution for these large Ah battery?

The cheap Ali express  3.65 v 10 amp chargers will take 3 days to charge these large cells:(

With your attached file, do I just upload the file using open WRT Luci software upgrade and upload your zip file ?

        Hi Eric,

        Great work as per usual!

It has been a while but can you summarize what you would consider the best option to power the TP 902 with 3.2 V currently? Still the Ian Canada units or just battery with power management?

Also for those of us just using Luci with open WRT, is there a way to program 10 Base T mode ?

          Hi Eric,

Since the larger LiFePO4 batteries can have a range of DC outputs ( 3.5 when fully charged Etc), do we need a regulator board to ensure that it is outing 3.2 V for the TP link 902 router?

Also have you compared the sound of these large EVE MB 31 batteries with and without the cheap BMS board?

          You insights be much appreciated!

            Hi Eric,

That is surely a large battery!
What charger do you recommend for this unit?

Does these much larger batteries sound any different from the much smaller 26650 batteries?

            Thanks!

              Hi Eric,

              I have plenty of time.

I am currently using the Ian Canada units.  However, always want to see if we can bring it to the next level.

                Hi Eric,

So probably best option based on your current findings be using those larger ah (360) 3.2 V LiFEPO4 batteries that can be charged with a smart charger externally once every few months. Most of us don’t listen to our system all day.  If we listen ~4 hours a day, we will need to charge every 6 months? That seems like a very reasonable solution and yet best sonically.

This way we are not connected to any AC outlet or any monitoring circuits.

So you don’t think we need to connect these larger batteries to the Ian Canada Ucconditioer or a LT 3045 board?

Again, many thanks for your work!

                  Hi Eric,

How the new 3.3 V DC power supply project coming along?

We all been waiting for details of the new built.

I really like the idea of minimalist design. With the Ian Canada project, most of us are listening in the super pure mode (battery only)

Please post your finished project and schematics / parts ordering number when you can 🙂

Similar to Agent 86 , I was completely unsuccessful using MAC and Pumpkin in flashing the minimized WRT script.  I also used Transfer and Trivial apps to no avail.

Then, I used a Windows 10 PC and had much better luck in flashing the images. I was able to link to open WRT with ssh.

However, after loading the scripts by copy, V  and paste onto the ssh page, I just could not get any further. I have checked the SSID and IP addresses to ensure they are correct. I then had removed the flashed image and reinstalled many times but no luck. The 902 just would not link to my WiFi to be used as a client to the server.

Eric or anyone that had been successful in using the script, please help us WBF newbies.

                    Appreciate any assistance!

so close and yet so far in this journey

I did try using a different IP address like 192.168.2.1 as suggested in the script.

problem is that ssh did not drop and no reboot happened.

Also, no connection to the wireless access point either.

The wireless access point is another 902 with stock firmware sitting a few feet from the 902 that I am trying to connect.

One thought came to mind is that I set a specific channel in the wireless access point.

                      Does that matter?

                        Hi Eric,

I also had the above similar situation. Same

I also tried at least 6 times with no luck.

                        Appreciate your help in advance!

                          Thanks Eric,

I will try other means of TFTP.

                          Java a good week!

                            Hi Eric,

I was able to unzip the bin files with Un archiver last night.

Unfortunately ,after transferring the files using Pumpkin (which took over an hour ), the 902 still just running stock TP link firmware. I followed your excellent instructions exactly. I am confused. I already has the Ian Canada linear Pro 3.3 and it certainly made a big difference.

Do I first need to flash open WRT onto the 902 and then flash your minimal image recovery file?

                            Appreciate any help in advance!

                              Hi Eric,

Thanks so much for posting the minimized WRT scripts.

                              Need some help.

                              1) Are the recovery bin files really Zipped?  I could not unzip or extract them in Windows with Win Zip or Unarchiver in MAC.

                              2) Does it take a long long time to flash these recovery bin files? I used Pumpkin with a MAC and the flashing took almost an hour but ultimately it did not install as I still end up with the old TP stock firmware.

                              Any assistance be appreciated!

                              Best, W Lee
