Hi
This V3 cable is insane. I started to invest quite seriously in dematerialization with high-level power supplies on my player and on my modified switch. But the revolution (my point cannot be less) comes from this V3 cable which costs next to nothing to make. I must dream. A big thank you again for this discovery and for having tested this process which brings so much music.
Kind regards. Christophe
Your words are clear. It seems difficult to have general rules that apply to all systems. Therefore, I should possibly test a V3 Ethernet cable before installing my switch.
I have a Cisco Meraki MS220 Ethernet switch that has been modified (new clock and disassembly of the entire power supply) by a craftsman named Wattcat located in France who does remarkable work. I have a very high-quality linear power supply, also made by Wattcat, to power my switch.

Hi Eric
Your comments about the hi-fi world are quite relevant.
Have any attempts been made to install another V3 Ethernet cable before the switch? If so, what were the results? Or does the treatment on the Ethernet cable before a much-improved switch with a very good power supply (which is my case) not provide any improvement?
Thank you in advance for your help.Kind regards. Christophe
Hello Matthias.
The poor result was due to an incorrect number of cable turns in the ferrite core. The data sheet provided on the ferrite core manufacturer’s website made me understand that I had to reassemble the cable. Furthermore, the direction of the Delock isolator wasn’t correct. With the first result, which was really bad, I admit that I disassembled the cable to possibly make something else out of it or put the various components aside. I then looked at the specifications of the ferrite cores out of curiosity and discovered that I wasn’t counting the number of turns correctly for the cable. I came close to putting everything in a closet… phew!I’m also quite surprised that this approach isn’t more successful. In dematerialization, noise reduction is the key, and I think we’re all chasing it. This very simple (no tools required) and very economical solution (the hi-fi market has clearly identified its lucrative potential in this area, sometimes with crazy prices) should become more popular.
For the future, I hope for a new round of manufacturing your LAN isolator V1, which looks absolutely beautiful. Or maybe a V2 is secretly under development! Just kidding!
Sorry for writing in English. From Paris, my German is unfortunately nonexistent.
Kind regards
Christophe
Hello. The sound wasn’t great, even quite deteriorated. I was quite disappointed. I disassembled and reassembled the cable more meticulously. The Ext side of the Delock isolator was placed on the switch side and not on the player side. The contribution of this cable is now very noticeable. The noise reduction is very well executed. The timbres of the instruments and the dynamics are well respected. Excellent. Bravo to Eric and everyone for this very high-level contribution.
Christophe.
thank you matthias.
My listening session last night was very promising. But a lack a dynamics, high and bass ( short ends ) ; a sound in a box … muted. It could be my amplifier who needs is time. In another hand, the music was so different. Much more details. so much. A better layered musical structure. Could be massive and revolutionary improvement. I’ll keep listening today. I will let you know.
Kind regards. Christophe
Hi Eric.
Your work seems to be incredible. What is this „Lan Isolator V1“ ? I’ve not read a mention on your website ( but I could miss it ). And, is it too late to order one ? it will be great on your throttle V3 cable.

Christophe
That’s it. Thanks a lot for your help.
I’ve done the test with the both side and the „PC side“ near the switch is the best option.
Does this cable need a break in period ? do you experienced it ? how long does it take ?
The cable is now “ in situ “ with music. The result seems a classic sound for a non break in cable.
50 hours ? 100 hours? no break in period at all ?
Thank again for your help.
Kind regards. Christophe
Hi Eric.
Damn it. I’ve did the opposite. I will remove the cable in the right direction.
The delock block has is own orientation. A „PC“ side and a „ext“ side. Witch is the good orientation ? the „PC „side near the switch or the „Ext“ side near the switch ?
Details …. always when you get into the real world. 🙂
Kinds regards
Christophe
I.
thank you for this forum and letting me participating.
YOur V3 cable seems to be a great opportunity. I’ve received all the element to realise it.
I have e really simple question : what is the direction of the cable ? The delock/isolator side of the cable is for the streamer part or the switch part ?
Thanks a lot
Kind regards.
