Hi Eric,
As per your request, these are the devices in my system:
Modem/router combined (provided by ISP)
d-link switch (soon to be replaced by Netgear GS108 most likely)
Eversolo T8 streaming transport
Trinnov Altitude 16
3 Theory Audio amplifiers
Apple TV
TV (soon to be replaced by projector)
Side note: I am seriously considering using the an 802 in place of a 902 but I would very much like your opinion on that.
Based on your writings and input from others, I gather the best way to use either a 902 or an 802 is:
Modem/router > ethernet cable > 902 AP (battery powered) > wifi > Client 902 (battery powered) > Short ethernet cable > Streamer > digital coax > DAC
I assume, adding the switch before the client 902 and feeding the streamer from that switch is not a good idea vs setting it up the way I listed above? There are many ways to feed ethernet to the other devices… All of which need an internet connection… But I would like your opinion on the best way. I realize it may or may not warrant the use of yet another 902… I wonder if it’s possible to modify a 902 to have two outputs?… One for the switch and one for the streamer.
thank you for any advice you’re able to provide!
