Hello Matthias.
The poor result was due to an incorrect number of cable turns in the ferrite core. The data sheet provided on the ferrite core manufacturer’s website made me understand that I had to reassemble the cable. Furthermore, the direction of the Delock isolator wasn’t correct. With the first result, which was really bad, I admit that I disassembled the cable to possibly make something else out of it or put the various components aside. I then looked at the specifications of the ferrite cores out of curiosity and discovered that I wasn’t counting the number of turns correctly for the cable. I came close to putting everything in a closet… phew!
I’m also quite surprised that this approach isn’t more successful. In dematerialization, noise reduction is the key, and I think we’re all chasing it. This very simple (no tools required) and very economical solution (the hi-fi market has clearly identified its lucrative potential in this area, sometimes with crazy prices) should become more popular.
For the future, I hope for a new round of manufacturing your LAN isolator V1, which looks absolutely beautiful. Or maybe a V2 is secretly under development! Just kidding!
Sorry for writing in English. From Paris, my German is unfortunately nonexistent.
Kind regards
Christophe
